Hopefully Back Up for Good

You might have noticed that the website went down again. I was playing too much with my server setup and totally trashed my OS. I have come up with a new scheme that should let me complete easy system backups before I try out new server configurations.

I have played around with virtual machines before but I hadn’t used them for anything really productive. I found away to run my web server through WMware’s free player. All I have to do to make a backup is copy the folder that my virtual system sits in and I am golden. This also makes the server totally portable if I needed to move it to another PC.
